Candidates fail to file enough valid signatures to make primary ballot

Rothmier turned in 417 more signatures than the 1,000 required to make the ballot, but 859 of those were rejected. McIntosh was required to submit 1,000 signatures from registered Democrats in the district, but he came up short.Earlier this month, Williams announced that another candidate for that house district, Michele Fry, also failed to submit enough valid signatures.While McIntosh turned in 168 more signatures than the 1,000 required to make the ballot, 204 of those were rejected.
