Travel Lucky Strike bringing new arcade concept to 16th Street Mall

Lucky Strike Entertainment will open a 13,000-square-foot FTW arcade/gastropub this fall next door to its bowling alley on the third level of the Denver Pavilions, the downtown shopping center announced Monday.It's the first Colorado location and just the third nationwide for FTW, short for "For the Win,"which combines state-of-the-art arcade games with "chef-driven gastropub cuisine" and a full bar.

Pair rob person in wheel chair on Denver 16th St. Mall; suspect photos

Anyone with information on the robbery, or who recognizes either of the men in photos, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720 913-7867 (STOP); Crime Stoppers tips can be sent by text to 274637 (Crimes) then title DMCS and enter a message. A couple of thugs robbed a person in a wheel-chair last month on Denver's 16th Street Mall. Denver police released photographs of two suspects Friday, in hope that someone will recognize them.

Group advocating "racial justice" marches on Denver's 16th Street Mall

SURJ calls on white people to be engaged and involved in racial issues and support justice, she said. As members marched they sang: "White silence is violence, we are breaking down the wall." They also chanted: "Show me what community looks like." Response: "This is what community looks like." "SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability," the group's website says. Others supported the marchers, clapping hands and flashing thumbs-up.
