In exchange, prosecutors dropped two first-degree murder charges that could have kept Angold in prison for life if convicted. Sean Michael Angold, 24, struck a plea deal with prosecutors and agreed to testify against his two travelling companions who are each charged with first-degree murder and related counts. Lampley and Alligood have pleaded not guilty to two first-degree murder charges and counts of robbery and animal cruelty.

San Francisco: Man shot, injured near federal building by suspect on motorcycle

No suspect description was available this morning, but the suspect was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle, police said. San Francisco police say a person on a motorcycle shot and injured a man across from the Phillip Burton Federal Building on Sunday night before fleeing the scene. The suspect pulled up alongside the 36-year-old victim and they had a brief conversation, according to police. The suspect then allegedly shot the victim in the buttocks with a handgun before fleeing.

The median price for a one-bedroom apartment is $3,590 in San Francisco, $2,280 in Oakland and $2,270 in San Jose, according to the Zumper National Rent Report for April.Just this week, San Jose put a 5 percent cap on rent increases for the 44,000 units covered by the city's rent control law. Money California Dreamin': Florida Gov. Scott heading to San Jose seeking jobs

Rick Scott is heading west for a three-day California jobs jaunt that is drawing fire from Democrats. Scott will also participate in a panel discussion being hosted by the Milken Institute. This is the latest visit by the Republican governor to states run by Democrats. In those visits Scott criticized the business climate of the other states. Ahead of this trip the state's economic development agency paid for radio ads criticizing California's decision to gradually lift the minimum wage to $15.
