NBA referees say their missed foul on Oklahoma City's Dion Waiters as he inbounded the ball was a play they had never seen before.The referees union also said Tuesday on Twitter that they would incorporate the play into their training moving forward.The play began a wild final sequence in the Thunder's 98-97 victory over San Antonio on Monday in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

 The NHL has scheduled a hearing today with Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang to explain his rationale for a dangerous check he laid against Washington Capitals forward Marcus Johansson in the first period of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinalBased on the replay, it seems as if Letang should have known Johansson was vulnerable when he launched upward into the check. Johansson was able to return after he passed concussion protocol screening.
