The snowiest season ever recorded was in 1908-09, with 118.7 inches.Barjenbruch added that this season isn't over. "It's been definitely a very active spring."Among the snowiest Aprils in Denver history are those of 1973, with 24.8 inches; 2013, with 20.4 inches; and 1999, with 19.7 inches.The city's snowiest April came in 1933, with 33.8 inches.For the season total, Denver could also be reaching records this year.

Denver adds texting to homeless giving program

The program is a joint venture between the City and County of Denver, downtown Denver Partnership and Downtown Denver Business Improvement District. Denver has added an electronic contribution system to the ways available to help homeless people. The money helps to fund workforce centers, job development and mental health and other services, said Bennie Milliner, executive director of Denver's Road Home. Charges will appear on contributor's wireless bills or be deducted from a prepaid balance.
