Warriors' Curry wins Magic Johnson Award

OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry was named the winner of the Magic Johnson Award, which recognizes the top player who shows "cooperation and dignity" in dealing with the media and public.Curry, who was a finalist for last season's award that went to Chicago's Pau Gasol, was selected through a vote of Professional Basketball Writers Association members.Curry is the first Warriors players to receive the award since it was created in 2001.

Warriors' Curry won't play in Game 2

OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry will not play in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Portland Trail Blazers, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said."I'll just say he's doubtful just so we give everybody something to chew on," Kerr said Monday, grinning. With the team expected to take Wednesday off after Game 2 on Tuesday night, the next opportunity for Curry to resume 5-on-5 work would be Thursday."Hopefully he'll be a part of it," Kerr said.
