The Tampa Tribune, a newspaper that has been publishing daily in Florida since 1895, will cease publication Wednesday after being purchased by its rival, the Tampa Bay Times. Petersburg Times until it changed its name in 2012.Tribune subscribers will receive the Tampa Bay Times starting Wednesday. “There are very few cities that are able to sustain more than one daily newspaper, and the Tampa Bay region is not among them.”Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
